The Xingrui L PLUS targets a real and substantial audience: buyers who want the low fuel consumption and intelligence of new energy vehicles but resist charging infrastructure dependence. This review examines Geely’s specification ambitions, and whether the 115,700 yuan starting price is enough to convince hesitant buyers to commit.
Design & First Impressions
The Xingrui L PLUS makes an immediate visual impression through proportions. At 4,956 mm long, 1,915 mm wide, with a 2,845 mm wheelbase, the dimensions constitute a selling point within the sub-120,000 yuan segment. The front adopts Geely’s family design centered on a ripple water grille with 31 vertical chrome bars arranged without excessive ornament, lower fog lamp areas featuring wing shaped metal accents.
The side profile employs fastback proportions paired with mechanical door handles rather than hidden designs, a pragmatic choice avoiding winter freeze complications. The rear features continuous taillight design with centered Geely badging and dual exhaust outlets.
Three colour schemes are offered: cinnabar black with suede wrapping and 256-colour ambient lighting, ink smoke grey, and warm autumn beige. A 15.4-inch 2.5K floating central touchscreen anchors the visual hierarchy, paired with a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and 16.6-inch windscreen head-up display. Cabin proportions represent a clear strength. The 2,845 mm wheelbase paired with 4,956 mm overall length delivers rear-seat legroom at the upper-mainstream range for mid-size sedans. A flat rear floor improves centre-seat occupancy comfort.

The Xingrui L PLUS counters with larger proportions (identical wheelbase length despite manufacturer positioning differences), superior autonomous driving hardware specification (lidar absent on some Seal configurations), and i-HEV operation requiring no charging infrastructure.
Lynk & Co 07 EM-P and Xingrui L PLUS both occupy the Geely corporate ecosystem but maintain distinct positioning. The Lynk & Co carries higher entry pricing with youthful-sport brand character, while the Xingrui L PLUS emphasises family-oriented cost performance.
The Mazda EZ-6 represents the traditional fuel-powered sedan alternative at comparable pricing, offering conventional reliability and lower autonomous driving complexity against Geely’s technology-forward approach.
